Mitsubishi Lancer

Mitsubishi is one of the most reputed names in the automotive world, and their Lancer car is one of the best that you can ever get, especially if budget is a concern. The Lancer 2015 has plenty of technological features on board; the only thing is that they fall a bit short of being incredible. Still, they do serve the purpose quite well. And don't forget that with a Lancer 2015, you are getting a vehicle which delivers performance and is super easy to handle. This is probably the best part that we like about the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer.

Lancer 2015 has a sporty, sophisticated look, but you may not find the interior to be that great. The drive in the car is super comfortable and super great, thanks to the turbocharged engine and the all wheel drive.

New Features In The 2015 Model

Mitsubishi has introduced some new features in the base models as well as the Value Pack trim. In all the models, the mirrors are now power heated and have a built-in indicator system. For the SE models, the front bumper has received a sportier look whereas as the dashboard now incorporates a FUSE hands free Bluetooth system. The ES model has been loaded with the Value Pack, which features an advanced infotainment system and higher quality interior materials. As for the GT models, there is now a sunroof, HID lamps and an upgraded Rockford Fosgate sound system.

The Design

The exterior of the lancer is attractive and bold, and does garner attention, as it always has ever since the car was introduced. There is plenty if space on the inside, thanks to the clever cabin dimensions. But when you take a closer look at the inside, you might be a little disappointed. From far off, the panel appears to be elegant and sophisticated, but upon a closer look, the plastic materials will not really impressive you.

Bit once again, remember the way the Lance performs on the road, and the interior will not bother you so much.

On Road Performance

As already mentioned, the best thing about the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer are the performance on the road and the nimble handling. The Lancer offers a responsive, neat and comfortable driving experience with precise steering. The car may tend to produce a noise, but you will love the fact that it obeys your every command.

The Engine

The ES model of the 2015 Lancer features a four cylinder engine, delivering 152 horsepower and having a fuel capacity of 2 liters. Move up to the Lancer GT model, and you will get an engine that delivers 168 horsepower and has fuel capacity of 2.4 liter. Obviously, the GT model offers more power. If you opt for CT, you also get a magnesium steering wheel paddle.

Nissan Altima

The 2014 Nissan Altima boasts of a number of innovations in many aspects, when you compare it with the previous models. These improvements have put the car in the mainstream, and have made it a safe pick for many buyers. We really liked the exterior design and the features on board, but what we did not find so impressive was the fact that the car is available in just the continuously variable transmission mode; there are no other variants in any of the trims.

Among the most notable features of the 2014 Altima are the infotainment system, improved powertrains and extremely comfortable seats. The car offers a good balance between handling and comfort, while addressing all the weaknesses which were found in the previous models.

Design

Nissan has completely renovated the design of the 2014 Altima and have given it a brand new shape, not seen in previous models. According to the manufacturers, they have been able to achieve this by considering the design from an emotional perspective, and then manufacturing the car with the latest techniques available. The result is a brand new, attractive body.

The front of the Altima 2014 is similar to the angles and arrows, seen in other Nissan cars, but the rear end does show some innovation. The manner in which the fenders have been made to swell out is also similar to Nissan Juke.

Interior

The interior of the Altima 2014 features several innovations which are usually not seen in a Nissan car. Straight lines divide the control panel from the driver seat and the passenger seat. There is plenty of space on the left side for a bigger LCD screen and an advanced infotainment system. The seats are quite comfortable and will remain that way even if the drive lasts for a couple of hours.

In the base mode, the front seats can be adjusted in six different ways for the driver and four directions for the passenger. An optional power driver and heated seats are also available. Leather seats are also available as an additional option.

Performance

The performance of the Nissan Altima is glossy on every type of road. The drive offers a substantial amount of control, but you can upgrade the suspension to Sachs shocks if you want even more control and a luxurious experience.

What you will like

  • Some of the best safety features have been put on board
  • The flowing, sleek design
  • The infotainment system has been enhanced significantly in this versions

What you may not like

  • All models come with a continuously variable transmission or CVT mode; there is no other option
  • Despite the cool exterior design, the interior design is somewhat dull
  • Previous models feature better and sportier handling than the 2014 Nissan Altima

2014-nissan-370z

Nissan 370Z

One of the best sports cars that you can buy, the 370Z continues to impress with its current and all former models. The 2014 model incorporates all the prides of a Z edition, and has been given some new features which has allowed it to grow as a grand tourer that comes in both a roadster and hardtop form. The 2014 model comes in a convertible and coupe form as well, with many features being retained from the previous versions.

Design

The 2014 Nissan 370Z has an elegant design, featuring a soft top and sleek shell. The front has been cleverly styled into the form of an impressive nose, which sweeps up to form the windshield and the cabin, and then ends into a snub and bluff rear. Nissan has given this car the proportions of a cabin rearward classic Z edition and a modern wide track sports coupe. The exterior design somewhat limits the visibility in the Coupe and the roadster versions.

Interior

Come inside the car, and the sporty design continues. The interior features the same, similar three dot theme seen on other Z cars, but with some enhanced features this time. The cabin comprises of comfortable seats that can easily be adjusted for additional comfort. Other worth mentioning features include leather upholstery, keyless entry/start, navigation, HID headlights and satellite radio.

There are plenty of safety features on board too such as airbags, electronic stability control and traction control.

Specifications

The engine specifications of the 2014 Nissan 370Z are same as the previous model in the base versions: 3.7 liter V6 engine which delivers a horsepower of 332. The NISMO variant has been modified, and this time gives a choice between a six speed manual transmission and a seven speed automatic transmission. The former of these comes with SynchroRev automatic rev-matching whereas the latter features mounted paddle shifters for the steering wheel.

The fuel economy is rated at 18 mpg for the city and 26 mpg for the highway in models with manual transmission. If you opt for an automatic transmission mode, the fuel economy increases by 1 mpg.

Performance

The base model of the 2014 Nissan 370Z delivers an above par performance, especially when you opt for the manual transmission mode with rev matching. The acceleration is brisk, and you enjoy plenty of grip as you drive the car. The chassis has been well balanced, allowing you to interact more with the car.

Buy the NISMO version, and the performance will get even better. At times, the drive may seem a bit harsh, but overall, it is pretty good.

Chrysler 200

Want a car that you can show off to your family and friends and make them envy you? As far as designing is considered, the Chrysler 200 is a great option. A smooth, sophisticated design with plenty of attention paid to all the little details. But if handling and rear cabin space are a concern, you mouth not be so impressed. But the performance makes up for this. The car offers a safe drive, and accelerates strongly and smoothly.

Design

It's smooth, refined and well rounded. Chrysler has enhanced the front appearance and grille, and made it somewhat similar to the Saab. The design is fresh and extremely likable. The roofline has been elongated slightly, and tapers off into a tail in the end, hiding the exhaust outlet beneath it.

Just as the outside, the interior has also been designed impressively. Featuring top notch materials and a smooth finish, the appearance is a bit sporty. The center console reflects innovation, giving you extra storage behind it. In fact, you get even more storage with the versatile cubbies and cup holders.

The front seats of the Chrysler 200 have plenty of space, but the back seats could have done with more room. The driving seat is a bit low, and the truck should have been more spacious. Still the car does offer you storage behind the console panel and beneath the armrests.

Specifications

The Chrysler 200 features a powerful V6 engine that performs quite well in most cases. There may be better options out there in other sedans, but the performance is still smooth and above average. The engine delivers 184 horsepower and has a fuel capacity of 2.4 liter. The Chrysler 200 is also available with a 295 horsepower V6 engine, which is a lot more powerful than the one in the standard option, and should be the one you opt for if you want your Chrysler 200 to deliver you a high level of performance.

The Chrysler 200 has a manual shift mode and an all wheel drive, which are among the best in class.

Performance

The Chrysler 200 offers predictable handling, but it may not wow you. Still the powerful engine, steering and front/four link rear do compensate for this. The ride may not be exciting, but is still pleasant and comfortable.

What You Will Like

  • The look; it is so smooth, featuring touch of sophistication
  • The interior; it has been exclusively designed with great attention paid to all the little details
  • Te all wheel drive; most trims feature it

What You May Not Like

  • Rear which mat appear to be a bit tight
  • Handling could have been made better
  • Gas mileage is not so impressive
