2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport - Kelly Car - Emmaus, PA

Mitsubishi has become a strong contender in the SUV, crossover and four-wheel drive market and their headline star is the Outlander. An exceptional vehicle with long lasting features that will give you years of pleasure on the road and hold a strong resale value when you’re ready to trade in.

The Outlander has exceptional versatility, the traction control handling and compact front wheel drive makes driving this beautiful vehicle no more difficult than a full size sedan. Driving on ice and other winter conditions is handled particularly well.

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is the downsized version of the 7-seat Outlander and remains a popular and inexpensive 5-passenger alternative to the full size SUV.

In 2016, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport received a new grille and other minor styling updates inside and out, along with a new 6.1-inch touchscreen interface and available power-folding mirrors.

The Outlander Sport provides a smooth, quiet ride and offers an intriguing styling that sets it apart from the noise in the crossover segment, and that reasonable pricing comes as a pleasant surprise. You get a lot of equipment and great fuel economy for the money with this crossover SUV!

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport had been offered in two trim levels: the base ES and SE; in 2016 an SEL trim level joined the lineup

Easy to spot Outlander Sport ES standard features include remote keyless entry, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, cloth upholstery, Mitsubishi's Fuse voice-activation system and auxiliary audio/USB input jacks.

You won't need to upgrade or get an option package for Cruise Control, which seems to be very common for vehicles in this price range. The USB port, heated side mirrors, rear center arm rest with cup holders, easy fold split rear seat and the Hill Start Assist (HSA) features are all standard. It really has the nicest standard interior qualities of any vehicle in its class.

The 2016 Outlander Sport's base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is only available on the ES trim level and produces 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on the front-wheel drive model, with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is offered at extra cost. The CVT is standard on the ES with all-wheel drive and all other models.

For the higher SE trim, you'll find 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic xenon headlights, foglights, automatic climate control, keyless ignition/entry, a second-row armrest with center pass-through, upgraded upholstery and a six-speaker stereo. Heated front seats are only offered with SE AWD models and some of the standard SE features are available on the ES as options. Front-wheel drive is standard, with a three-mode all-wheel-drive system available only on the SE.

Stepping up to the SEL will add on the stronger 2.4-liter engine, automatic headlights, roof rails, power-folding mirrors, automatic wipers, shift paddles, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, alloy pedals and a sliding center armrest. Other options include Outlander Sport remote ignition, front and rear parking sensors, a rear spoiler, a navigation system (with a 7-inch touchscreen and voice controls) and interior ambient lighting.

Additionally, SE AWD models are eligible for a hard-drive-based navigation system, a rearview camera, and an auxiliary video input jack. The Premium package includes a panoramic sunroof, roof rails and a superior Rockford Fosgate audio system.

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer - Kelly Car - Emmaus, PA

If you’re looking for a used, fun-to-drive, reasonably priced, reliable, roomy, comfy, fuel efficient, wagon with great visibility, low insurance, sporty handling and good ride quality look no further than this fetching, rare find- the 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Wagon.

This model is well known for its longevity; enthusiastic owners keep their Lancers for years caring for them devotedly. The engine will go for well over 100,000 miles with mostly routine maintenance, mileage on this 10+ year old vehicle clocks in around 25 MPG city and 31 MPG hwy.

Billed by Mitsubishi as “a rally car for today,” this five-door hatchback version of the Lancer sedan was new to the U.S. market for 2004. The Lancer Sportback wagon joined the sporty Lancer lineup in 2004 along with a performance-oriented Ralliart version of both the sedan and wagon; these were heady days for Mitusbishi. The Sportback wagon as well as the sedan got a new 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine rated at 160 horsepower. The entire Lancer line got a redesigned front fascia with Mitsubishi's iconic grille design, new integrated bumpers, halogen headlamps and a relocated rear license plate.

The introduction of the more powerful and fun-to-drive Sportback and Ralliart models really gave the Lancer the boost it needed to compete with leaders in that class. It was offered in multiple body styles and trim levels, attended to with a clean cabin design, automatic transmission, solid power and generous cargo capacity. The interior easily accommodates 5 people with ample comfort while at the same time handling a substantial load in the back.

The cleverly designed storage tray under the boot floor can carry all those items that take up a permanent place in your vehicle without adding clutter. Tools, toys, CDs, power cords can all be stowed out of sight. Seats fold down to accommodate snowboards and skiis, mountains bikes, hockey equipment and can even turn your vehicle into a camping car for the night!

Passing on the highway is a breeze and pick up does not lag when merging onto the highway. There were only about 3000 of these vehicles imported to the United States so you will have the pleasure of owning something unique.

 Mitsubishi Lancer

The base Lancer came newly equipped with front-wheel drive and a five-speed manual transmission standard, offering powerful engines which are tuned for the track. This used Lancer SE CVT presents an automatic transmission along with all-wheel drive standard, the only vehicle in this class to do so.

The Lancer’s base four-cylinder engine delivers substantial power for everyday use, with Lancer CVT SE AWD upping that extra power. The main feature setting the SE apart from the DE, ES, and GT Lancers is that fantastic four-wheel drive in the form of Mitsubishi's All-Wheel-Control (AWC) system. The SE includes a rocker switch on the console that allows the driver to select front-wheel-drive, all-wheel-drive, or differential-lock mode, which maintains power at all four wheels. Couldn’t be easier. The Lancer SE and GT also present an upgrade to a 2.4-liter four that produces 168 hp and 167 lb-ft of torque.

The used Mitsubishi Lancer's interior is spacious with plenty of legroom in the rear seats, another best in class. Lancer’s trunk can hold 12.3 cubic feet of cargo, generous for everyday use. The 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer comes standard with a four-speaker CD audio system, power windows and door locks, air conditioning, a USB port, Bluetooth, satellite radio, a Rockford Fosgate sound system, a navigation system and a rearview camera.

The Lancer's deeply hooded tachometer and speedometer are sharp and eye-catching.

The back seat leg room, as previously mentioned, is an unambiguous plus. The Lancer's high rear bench and adequate head and legroom are especially welcome in a class where we’re seeing more and more compacts with cramped back seat

The 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine has more resolve than most other small sedans, with its potent 168 horsepower. The 2014 Lancer SE CVT responds quickly to accelerator input and you won’t see delay as in other CVTs when you need quick response for passing.

The Lancer receives the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Pick designation with its best score, Good, in frontal-offset, side, rear and roof-strength tests.

Standard safety features include front airbags, front-seat-mounted side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags for front and rear occupants, and a driver's knee airbag. A used base Lancer with front-wheel drive scores an overall four out of five stars in National Highway Traffic Safety Administration crash tests.

Come visit us at Kelly Automotive to test drive one of our gorgeous looking Lancers! Our inventory changes often and we try to keep a good variety in house!

Fall is here, time to say goodbye to the summers. Yes, winter is coming, and you know what that means! With winter comes extra care of cars. Extreme weather conditions can take a toll on the body of your car and the engine as well. Older cars especially face this problem more often.

Some common issues that you might experience in winter are poor idling, startup issues, and higher fuel consumption. A possible reason for this problem is the inability of the engine to warm up on time. Manufacturers of automobiles design vehicles with the ability to cope with all weather types, however, poor care and maintenance plays a key role. We at Kelly Car have some winter care tips for you.

Start Up Problems and How to Prevent Them

This is a common problem with most cars, due to the cold winter season. In colder days, the fuel becomes thicker, which makes it difficult for the engine parts to pick it up on time. Sometimes, it takes up to 15 minutes to start the vehicle. Before you hit the road in winter days, make sure that you:

  • Start the car in short intervals
  • When starting the car early in the morning, remember that the engine requires some heat to start smoothly. This means you should not drive right away, or it will off abruptly.
  • Let the engine warm up for at least 10 minutes. If you hit the road when the engine isn't hot enough, it will result in the missing of current within the ignition coils and soon the car battery will not pick up the engine.

Smoke Emissions and How You Can Prevent the Clattering Sounds

In winter days, engines emit smoke regularly, which is a normal phenomenon. However, the problem comes up when the emission goes beyond limit. During such times of the year, you will see plumes of black smoke upon starting the engine. This is more common with older and weaker engines. To prevent the emission of smoke:

  • Use special oil solutions, which are semi-synthetic in nature.
  • Don't mix up synthetic oils with mineral oils.
  • Drive at a steady speed and avoid accelerating unnecessarily.
  • Regularly change the oil.

These are just a few helpful tips that you can implement in winter season. For durable and affordable new cars like Buick, GMC, CDJR, Mitsubishi, and Nissan, visit us, Kelly Car. We provide services in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and Emmaus.

Buying a new car is super exciting, especially when it is a Mitsubishi - a reliable and high-performing brand loved by many car enthusiasts. If you have bought one of the newer models of Mitsubishi from Kelly Car, you probably have started taking measures to ensure its longevity. With daily usage, any car is bound to experience some wear and tear eventually. Even the slightest malfunction can make a huge impact on the safety and performance of your car.

The best way to maintain the performance of your new car is to have regular tune-up services as recommended by your car dealer or the car manual. New car models typically require their first tune up at 30,000 miles. It is best to get a tune-up if the car is used to pull heavy load. A normal tune-up includes replacing or adjusting spark plugs, installing a new air filter, checking the battery, filling and flushing vehicle fluids, checking fuel injectors, checking all hoses and belts or other components.

However, in some cases, a new car might need a tune-up even before it reaches the 30,000 miles. So, how would you tell when it is time for a tune-up for your Mitsubishi? Here are some signs to look out for:

  • Your car will have a ôservice engine soon or ôcheck engine sign that will go off and stay when you start it. This indicates there might be some problem in the engine.
  • The car frequently stalls indicating an electronic sensor or a spark plug issue.
  • The engine of your vehicle starts running unevenly whenever you accelerate or idles roughly, or else it sputters when going uphill or during acceleration - this means it is time for a tune-up.
  • It becomes harder to start the car. This might means that there might be certain problems in the ignition system, fuel system, battery, starting system, or electronic equipment.
  • Your car starts getting low gas mileage. This might be due to spark plug problems, bad fuel injectors, and dirty fuel filters.
  • Your car is making noises whenever you turn the steering wheel.
  • You experience a sudden jerk when you shift your car from park to drive.
  • The brakes of your Mitsubishi feel spongy or soft, or make squelching or squeaking noises when you push down the brake pedal.
  • "Dieseling" or chugging after you shut off the car means it needs a tune up.
  • Pings and knocks from the engine compartment caused by carbon buildup in the combustion chambers. This means it is time to get the fuel injectors replaced.
  • The car starts emitting burnt fuel smell or black smoke from its tail pipes is a clear indication of a tune up. This is usually caused by clogged O2 sensor.

Regular tune ups enable the computer systems, emission system, fuel system, and the ignition system of the car to work properly together. This results in better gas mileage, improved performance, and optimum combustion chamber efficiency. Your car will continue giving you the performance of a brand new car when it is regularly maintained and gets timely tune-ups.

You can get professional tune-up services at Kelly Car. They offer their services in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and Emmaus.
